Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

  • We combine video and audio expertise with a focus on legacy, storytelling, and partnership.

Most production companies hand you a finished file and move on.

We build content around strategy first by understanding your positioning, your buyers, and what proof actually looks like for your brand.

We also have a full in-house audio arm, so your video and sound are built together, not patched together after the fact. That's not common. We think it should be.

  • We specialize in companies competing on quality, not price.

If your story is inseparable from how it is made and who makes it, we're built for that work. Manufacturers, heritage brands, food and beverage, furniture, coffee, and specialty goods.

We also work with nonprofits, agencies, and independent artists when the story is worth telling. Industry matters less than mindset.

  • If you're building something worth making and need the world to understand why, you're probably in the right place.

We work best with brands where craft, process, and story are the competitive advantage. The best way to find out is a conversation. We'll tell you honestly if it's a fit.

  • Both! The scope changes, the standard doesn't.

Whether it's a social clip or a full brand documentary, a podcast intro or a full album, every project gets the same level of intention and care. If you're not sure what scope makes sense, that's exactly what the kickoff conversation is for.

  • Our work is totally scope dependent. We don’t do packages because ever brand’s story is different. (Cookie-cutter projects get cookie-cutter results)

Most flagship brand films start in the $8,000 - $20,000 range depending on scope, locations, timeline, and deliverables. Ongoing content partnerships and audio projects are quoted separately. We’ll build a custom quote after an initial conversation.

  • Yes! We’re based in the Midwest but work nationwide. Travel can be billed directly or factored into your project quote upfront. Either way, no surprises. If the story requires being on location, we go.

Remote projects are scoped and planned in advance, and we travel when the work calls for it.

  • A flagship brand film typically runs eight to twelve weeks from kickoff to final delivery. Social content series and audio projects vary by scope. You'll get a clear timeline during kickoff before anything starts.

  • That's more common than you'd think, and yes, it's exactly where we start. A lot of brands come in knowing they need "something" but aren't sure if it's a brand film, a social series, or a full content system. The kickoff process exists to answer that question before anything goes into production.

  • Yes. Ongoing partnerships let us go deeper, learning your brand, building a content system that compounds over time, and showing up as a true creative partner rather than a one-off vendor.

If you're thinking beyond a single project, that's a conversation worth having. Our work with Slumberland Furniture is a good example of what that can look like over time.

  • Just reach out! We’ll set up a kickoff conversation to learn about your project, goals, and vision. For there we’ll follow up with a proposal, pitch deck, or custom quote depending on what makes the most sense for your project.

Video FAQs

  • Branded documentaries, product stories, social content, commercial production, and everything in between. If it needs to move people and prove something about your brand, that's our lane. You can see the range on our work page.

  • A brand film is typically shorter and more controlled. A polished, intentional piece built around a specific message or moment. A brand documentary goes deeper. It follows real people, real processes, and real stories over time, letting the truth of what you do make the case for why you're worth choosing. Both have their place. The difference usually comes down to what you're trying to prove and who you're trying to reach. We'll help you figure out which one fits during the kickoff conversation.

  • Absolutely, and it's one of the most under leveraged ways brands use video.

A well-produced brand film doesn't just live on your website. It works on the trade show floor, in a sales deck, in a wholesale partner portal, and in a buyer meeting where you're not in the room to tell your own story. We build content with these use cases in mind from the start, not as an afterthought.

  • A freelancer gives you one skill set.

We bring strategy, production, and post-production + a full audio team built in ALL under one roof. You get the flexibility of an independent studio (without the bureaucracy of a large agency).

  • Most projects come with 2 rounds of revisions included. Our process has structured review rounds so your feedback shapes the project, keeping everything on track and aligned. Additional revisions can be added if needed.

  • Yes, we can! We guide your project through pre-production, production, and post-production to bring your vision to life.

And we can also plug into specific parts of the pipeline if you already have pieces in place. Check out our video services page for more info.

  • You’ve probably experienced one of two things: the agency didn’t understand your brand’s world or the work was beautiful but didn’t serve a clear business goal.

We start with strategy before creative, and we specialize in categories where craft and process are the story (so we already speak your language going in.).

audio FAQs

  • Original brand music, custom compositions, album production, mixing and mastering, voiceover, podcast intros, and audio post for video. Whether you're a brand building a sonic identity or an artist finishing a record, we build audio that sounds like you and no one else. Check out our audio services page for more info.

  • Stock music was written for no one in particular, which means it fits your brand about as well as it fits everyone else's. Custom compositions are built around your voice, your story, and the specific feeling you want people to associate with your brand. It's also exclusively yours, no competitor can license the same track.

  • Absolutely. We work with independent musicians, bands, and creators at every stage. From early demos and co-writing sessions to full production, mixing, and release-ready masters. If you're serious about your sound, we're serious about helping you get there.

  • Yes. We compose original music for brand films, commercials, documentaries, and social content, and handle full audio post including dialogue editing, sound design, and mixing. We make sure your video sounds as strong as it looks. Having video and audio under one roof means nothing gets lost in translation between teams.

  • Yes! Projects we've produced have earned 400,000+ streams and sync placements on Portlandia, HBO Max, WWE, Peacock, and ESPN, with placements still coming in. Sync licensing is something we understand and can factor into how a project gets produced from the start.
